Black Diamond Apollo Lantern: A Bright Idea for Camp Lighting?

Pros:
- Bright and Adjustable: The Apollo boasts a maximum output of 250 lumens, which is more than enough to illuminate a large campsite. The dimming switch allows you to adjust the brightness to conserve battery life or create a more ambient atmosphere.
- Collapsible Design: This is a key feature. The lantern collapses down to a compact size, making it easy to pack and carry. This is especially important for backpacking where space is at a premium.
- USB Rechargeable: No more fumbling with batteries! The Apollo is USB rechargeable, which is convenient and environmentally friendly. It also has a battery level indicator so you know when it’s time to top it up.
- Hook and Loop Hanging System: The integrated hook and loop system makes it easy to hang the lantern from a branch, tent loop, or even your backpack.
- Durable: The lantern feels well-built and can withstand the rigors of camping. While I didn’t intentionally abuse it, it survived being jostled around in my pack without any issues.
